Vanessa Burns is a Canadian actress and writer, best known for her recurring role as Shelly, on ABC's  hit show Designated Survivor.  

In 2016 Vanessa produced her first short film,  Acting Up ( TISFF Best Comedy winner), which she wrote and performed in. 

In the Spring of 2017 Vanessa is slated to produce her second short film, The Sun Visor, where she will play a leading role opposite Junior Williams.
